BDSM Education- Spanking
There are many reasons to spank. Some find spanking a natural, informal part of
foreplay. Vanilla folks do spanking all the time, but of course they don't
call it BDSM, they call it foreplay or normal part of sex.
Here are some basics:
Spanking involves more than simply smacking away at someone's ass. First
and foremost never give a spanking in anger. To start, rest your spanking hand on your
sub's ass. Stroke the ass and
give it a long, appreciative look. You have to get in tune with the ass
you are about to play with, and
prepare to approach it lovingly. Start your spanking lightly, moving slowly
from warm-up strokes to harder hits. For those new to spanking it's best to maintain a steady rhythm
throughout.
A rule of thumb, about one spank a second hits the spot with most sub's. Your hits should be precise and you should retain control over their strength.
You
can hold your hand in various positions; the two most common are flat and
cupped. An open, flat hand is the easiest to start with, and should give a smart, stinging sensation.
For even more sting separate your fingers for that flat hand swat. It is
easy to judge how it feels, if your hand stings, then so does the ass you are
spanking. A cupped hand will give a louder smacking sound and a more concentrated
(thud) sensation.
While technically you can spank anywhere on someone's ass, some spots are better
than others. Stay away from the upper ass, near the waist, it's close to the
kidneys. Stay away from the tailbone and spine. Spanking the sides of the ass
is okay, but not the "traditional" place to spank. The best place to hit is the "sweet
spot," a square encompassing the lower portion of the ass and the tops of
the thighs. This area also has nerve connections to the Kegel muscles of
the groin area, and spanking here can actually cause pleasurable stimulation
and in some subs orgasms.
Be aware of your sub's pain tolerance, this might take some time to learn.
Nerve endings can get numb where struck so the pain might be less than you are
hoping for. Remember the more spots you spank the longer it will take for
the numbing to occur. Don't be alarmed by some redness on your sub's ass,
this is normal. Sometimes purple or black and blue coloring will happen.
Don't be overly
alarmed by this either, it's just this sub's body reacting. Remember the
longer lighter strokes will produce that nice red look that seem to appeal to
most Dom/me's. Generally you
will find your hand tires before your sub's bottom does. Try alternating
swats with your other hand or use an implement. You might want to try putting on
a leather glove or fur mitt for different
sensations. When you are done spanking and you want to have the spanking
feeling last a bit longer-- then take your sub from behind as each thrust of
your hips will hit the area you just paddled. A well-administered spanking can be highly satisfying
to both the Dom/me and the sub.
Common spanking positions:
Over the Knee- You find this in most fantasy novels and is not really that practical.
Over the lap is usually what is used. The Dom/me gets a better sitting
position as the sub lays across the Dom/me's lap. The Dom/me will usually
place the non-spanking hand above the sub's hip to help prevent the sub from falling or
wiggling off their lap.
Over the desk- This is one usually used for school or work play scenes.
Usually the sub will have hands, arms and chest on the desk. (You saw
this position in the movie The Secretary)
Face down on a bed- Most comfortable and great for long spankings. The
Dom/me might place pillows under the sub's hips to get the sub's butt up in the
air more.
On all 4's- If you are going to spank for any length of time on a surface other
than a bed or similarly padded surface, pillows or knee pads would greatly help the sub and helps eliminate
ruining their knees.
Spanking machines:
Spanking machines are commonly found in fantasy novels. I am aware of one
machine on the market that debuted in early 2003 by the makers of TFM.
Tips/Ideas- For different sensations try a ping pong paddle, spatula, wooden spoon, the
classic back of a hairbrush, fly swatter, book, sandals/flip-flops, cutting
board, belt, ruler, and bonger tapping balls.
The kidneys are above not around the buttocks, but you
need to be aware to NEVER hit the kidney area. No blows to the low back
just below the waist line. Damaged kidneys might be saved with dialysis,
but is it worth the risk? Just don't hit there.
Example of what could occur if a spanking is done:
This web site is STRICTLY a site for education but until the Department of Justice
obscenity prosecutions become more clearly defined we are
self-censoring our web site and removing any material that might be questionable
in eyes of the anti-obscenity squad. We certain hope that DOJ does not mix/confuse
education sites with obscenity.
